When we were adopting Pearl some places made us fill out all these apps and references and whatnot - and then we walked into Philly SPCA and they were ready to let us take Pearl home that very day without a call to anyone to see if we were bogus or anything. I was really shocked. I know I am a good dog mommy but shouldn't they have at least checked??

I hope they let you introduce your current dog to the potential newcomer. The SPCA wouldn't let me bring Sadie because I don't have her innoculated against anything other than rabies so we had to go on a hope and a prayer.

i talked to the lady today, from the rescue, and filled out all the paperwork. they are supposed to call me in a few days and if they think i'm suitable, they'll let me take him for a home visit. if that works out, then i'll take him for a trial period, and then if that works out it'll be a done deal. so there's lots of steps. They asked me a ton of questions.

i'm surprised the philly spca was like that!

anyhow, keep your fingers crossed for me, this dog is such a cutie!
