☆ In the beginning, Kai hated Yuriy and Yuriy hated Kai, however as time went on, Kai found himself slowly liking Yuriy, and eventually saw him as a friend all over again. Though, due to events that went on in Discedo, out of anyone in the city, Kai feels the safest with Yuriy since he knows that he can trust Yuriy with his life as well as that Yuriy has Kai's back. Yet, before and after Kai was shanked by Riful, the two of them got closer and with Yuriy accepting Kai's feelings for him, for the first time for years, Kai truly feels happy now that he's going out with the one that has been through pretty much the same things that he has, and someone that he's known for years. All in all, Kai would go to amazing lengths to protect Yuriy and make sure that he's happy no matter what.

KINOMIYA TAKAO - ☆☆☆☆☆
☆ Kai and Takao are rivals. This is pretty much fact. Although, despite this, Kai respects Takao and has seen that he's come a long way from the dopey idiot he first met. While Kai would never vocalize or hint towards this, he does care about Takao, almost as if he's a little brother, and shows it in his own special way. Yet, this doesn't mean that Kai's opinion of Takao has changed. He still thinks of Takao as annoying, loud, and idiotic, but he knows that Takao's heart is in a good place.

☆ Like anyone else on his team, Kai trusts and respects Rei. Kai feels that Rei's the closest to him both age wise and mentality wise while on Team BBA, and off it, the two of them get along pretty well while Rei teases Kai and Kai takes the teasing with a grain of salt.

BORIS KUZNETSOV - ☆☆☆
☆ While Boris is no longer in Discedo, and despite the universe difference, Kai and the Boris from his own world have been on both Neoborg and Blitzkrieg, as well as been part of Volkov Abbey. It's with this that Kai regards Boris as a friend and a teammate, yet he feels neutral about him. Yet, if the need arose, Kai would go to bat for him, whether he liked it or not.

RIN KON - ☆☆☆
☆ Rin is from the future where his generation of beybladers have had children. With this in mind, Rin calls him her Uncle Kai. Despite his grumpiness and overall behavior, Kai likes Rin and would do anything to protect her.
