So the Canadian Comedy Network has been hyping this new program called Pop Cultured for weeks. It's hosted by a canadian comedienne who's been desperately trying to stay alive on the network for years. You have to suck if you can't keep a job at the Canadian Comedy Network. they have some terrible shows on there that keep going

Is she a stand-up comedian? So seldom do I ever find female stand-up funny at all.

yeah, I don't get it. I know lots of women who are hilarious, but the female stand-up comics almost always stink. I think Ellen is hillarious and smart, I can't even really think of any others right now, Jeanine Garafollo can be funny but she's way too try-to-be-political trendy and not-fully-studied on the topic anymore.

Women doing stand-up have the same repertoire: periods, sex (or lack thereof), parents. Ellen is funny on her show and in her other roles, but even her stand-up just doesn't make me laugh.

I haven't watched it yet. I've heard some good things, but haven't gotten around to paying attention. 546 times bitten, twice shy I say!

But cananda did produce SCTV, Kids In The Hall & the Trailer Park Boys so who knows.

I know.. I was afraid it was going to lick assss but nope, it's funny. It's on Saturday nights and maybe monday or tuesday.

Also, I loved shows like Praire Quest, Quest for the Bay, all the Quest series ;)
