Some pictures I took of the city I live at, Porto Alegre. This photos were taken at the Farroupilha Park (the text doesn't metion but the Fair also takes place on Saturday) and I'm posting them because of this conversation.

Well, thanks for the pictures, dear. For cell phone ones they are not so bad.
That weird trunk that looks like a basket is brilliant. I think I might use this in my NaNo story is I may (there are loads of trees int here).
Are the trees with purple flowers jacarandas? I encountered this tree recently on a post from an Australian friend and it seems that the tree is mostly belonging to the southern hemisphere.

Well, as far as I know, these purples trees are called Ipê Roxo (the flowers can go from pinkish to violet). They are rather commom here, along with the Ipê amarelo (with yellow flowers) and the Ipê branco (with white flowers). But we do have jacarandás here too.

Oh, I dunno, I think that one I liked best is spookier... the small park without kids...
