You'll do well in your exams! I keep my fingers crossed.
If I were capable of Harry-Potter-Style apparition, I'd "apparate" to Porto Alegre right now... it seems to be an amazing place. And: New year's eve on the beach, wow! It's -8C here at the moment (southern Germany) and I can't even touch a doorknob without gloves if I don#t want my skin stick to it and come off. Husband and I will fly to Barcelona in southern Spain on the 23rd to spent a quite Christmas - it's +14C there, so I might save myself from freezing to death. *brrrrrrrrr* How cold is your winter (July / August?)?
Porto Alegre is a very cool city, I love living here.
Well, I should count myself lucky, really, as we at least will spend Christmas in town (although, Barcelona sounds pretty good too =))
The weather here on winter (actually, throughout the whole year) is pretty unpredictable. On day he can have a minimum of 7C and on the next, 24C. Actually, if you're going to spend all day outside, you have to wear lots of layers: you never know when it will get hotter, or colder. (For tomorrow, for example, we expect a minimum of 19C and a maximum of 32C)
