So.....I just got an invitation to my boss' wedding on May 30 in Fredericksburg.  I'm pretty sure I'm going to go but it's gonna be awkward!  He's nice enough, we've never really seen eye-to-eye on stuff but he sees me every day.  What do I do for a gift?  Crap.  I'm pretty tightly budgeted at the moment and I really don't want to shell out $$ for

Target gift card. Yes, it has the downside of letting them see exactly what you spent, but it's easier, and according to my sister, more immediately useful than most of the stuff on the register.

Can you get them something cool & handcrafted, like a really nice wooden bowl & salad tongs, or something of that sort? Or see if there's something on the registry that won't break the bank, and get in on that.
