School's been a bit of headache for the last few days. Not the work itself, the school as an institution. Frustrating. I do hope that we can give some kind of feedback before the end of the course. I wonder what other schools in the area teach the third and fourth year portions. Some thing to look into

As well, I watched a board explode through one of my classmates hands today.

of all the things i read on LJ today, this is the one that deserves a more elaborate description. come on. make it gory.

She was working on the table saw, with a piece of wood that was split and warped and wasn't appropriate to be cut. It was giving her trouble and she was trying to push it through, even when it was getting stuck. Just I was close enough to see that and think "This is a bad idea....." before I watched the blade catch the wood and explode backwards. She pulled her hand up and stood there staring at it for a few seconds before I got over there. When I got there I saw that there was blood pooling in her hand and running down her arm. There was also a three inch chunk of wood going in one side of her hand and out the other. I got another guy to take her to first aid while I went to tell our instructor.

That's about it!

wow, see. now where you went wrong was not grabbing her hand and sucking greedily at the blood before anyone could react.

THAT would have been a fine journal entry.

Looks pretty fricken' awesome to me! I don't think the system should be that tough to learn, really.

I also like the sound of the setting. The first thing that pops to mind in that description is FF III. I think mostly of the opening of the game before any of the opening stuff happens and you're exploring the caves in winter looking for the esper.

I'm pretty sure that was III.

Of course not all of it is the same at all. But that was the first thing that I thought of as I read it.

Yeah, the options look great. I really liked the idea of being born as something and then following through with all of the things the character has done and the skills that come from each.

I can't wait to play! And make a character! Are you putting restrictions of any sort on the characters? Either way I'm sure we'll get something awesome.

Do you or Micah work Monday? I've got the whole thing off school and only a couple of things planned for the morning (maybe into early afternoon).

I'm sure I can wait till later in the week though, if need be.
