Fitness Goal!!!

I was really upset because I hadn't hit my fitness goal for the week and today was supposed to be so crappy. After I took my shower (I slept in, it was sooo needed), it was slightly sunny, so I thought I'd go walk before the rain. Rob's belly hurt, so he didn't want to go ( Read more... )

Thanks! I have a co-worker that has been urging me to try it, but she's 5'6" and in shape. Me? I'm still over 200 pounds, not by much, but I am, so I wasn't sure if I could do it.

It's like the weather is teasing me...it just got sunny again. We're supposed to get a nasty thunder storm, though.

When you say intervals, do you mean running and walking? I was hopeful that continuing would help to burn calories even faster. I might go again Tuesday after work, since I'll get home a little early. I was nervous to try before, but I think this will be a good thing.

Thanks about the shoes. I bought new shoes this summer, but for walking, so I'll have to pay attention.

That's exactly what Health Magazine suggested to do to start until you can run. I'll let you know how I do.

I'll pay attention to the shoes/shins. I certianly don't want shin splints!! I bought Brooks, which I never owned before, but my running friend was with me and she was adament about brands and support.
