Continued from HereThings, it would appear, finally were looking up for me. I'd left Los Angeles, leaving everything and everyone behind. Angel, Cordelia, Connor, Fred...Gunn and Lorne. Everyone. My flat, some of my things. What was important to me I loaded into a car and went with Buffy to Sunnydale. Where things didn't go as smoothly as they ( Read more... )

"Well, I certainly hope to live here long enough," with you, "to do so." I smiled over at her as we drove over to the Main Street. It wasn't hard to find that on, so I'm guessing I'm already getting quite used to driving around. I knew where to find the most important places. My place, the shopping center, a grocery store and last but certainly not least, Buffy's house ( ... )

I got out of the car myself, kinda surprised that he didn't open the door. Not that I was expecting it or anything. Okay, so I was, but still. I guess I shouldn't. Wes was so predictable in the beginning and now? Not so much. Which I guess is better cause then he would be boring. And I'd rather him not be so much boring. Looking around as he put his arm around me, I put my arm around his waist ( ... )

I smiled down at her at her words. “I doubt that, love,” I chuckled. “I’ve no sense when it comes to colour. Think Giles only worse.” Leaning down, I dropped a kiss on her temple. It was still early, there weren’t that many people around. Most would be in school or at work anyway. And those who weren’t had other things to do then trot around the shopping center no doubt ( ... )

“Weirdo?” Giving her an amused look, I shake my head and trail after her as she grabs the lemonade. Women will never understand that even the smallest thing will undermine our manly dignity. At least, that’s what Gunn tried to explain to me when I showed up in a suit he gaped at for some time. Git, he sure never mentioned it again when Cordy informed him she’d been the one to get it for me

Shopping trip from hell. I wonder how they’re doing there. How Connor and Angel are getting along.

Once we were back in the van and on our way back home, Buffy decided to be semi-serious. I knew she was anything but semi, because of the tone of her voice. She tried to pass it off as a joke, but I know it wasn’t.

“Goodies?” Taking my eyes off the road I give her a confused look. Goodies? Oh. Oh!, right. Well. I think I’ve already taken a sample of her…’goodies’. “I guess that depends on if you want me to be your anything, Buffy.” I seriously do not understand that girl. First she freaks out because I get to close. Now she wants to know if I’m ( ... )

"Well, I kinda do," I said and kept my eyes on him as he drove. He was probably getting all confused cause well, I am confusing, even I know that, and maybe I shouldn't have even brought this up now. But, it had to happen, right? I mean, just because we're taking things slow and stuff doesn't mean that he can't be my boyfriend. Was he even thinking about it at all? Or was he just going with it ( ... )

"I'm not going to object," I repeated, stopping myself from giving her another confused look. She sounds as though she either didn't believe me or was confused by the fact that I didn't object. Confusion, thy name is Buffy Summers ( ... )

The thought of painting a whole freakin' hotel made me raise an eyebrow. I thought his place was going to be bad, but a hotel? That's alot of time. Biting my lip, I sat there as Wes drove the rest of the way to the warehouse. Or, his house. That's what it was, his house. His place, his apartment. Whatever. I should really stop calling it a warehouse though ( ... )

"Okay then .. you're the boss, really, but if you want me to be your queen, then I guess I can't object to that," I said teasingly and put the paint that I was using away as I watched him. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Dawn motioning to .. Wes? What the hell was she doing ( ... )

I glared at Dawn when she made it sound so obvious that there had indeed been something going on. Sighing, I shook my head and turned back to cleaning the rollers I'd been using. I had to somehow make her stop interfering between Buffy and I. This whole 'I know my sister and I'll teach you who to woe her' really had to stop. It was making me nervous, not to mention that she had the most silly ideas.

When Buffy's voice came to ask me for help, I was glad to be out of there. I'd notice Dawn inching over to me again, no doubt with more tips. Quickly fleeing away to the room where Buffy was at, I stepped over to her. "What is it?" I glanced around and then realized what the problem probably was.

"Hmmm." Frowing, I looked around thoughtfully. "I was thinking of making my office there," I pointed to one of the bigger rooms. "As well as the library, and there," I pointed to where we were standing, "I was thinking of putting the...errr...lobby, so to speak. With a reception desk and some more desks. What do you think?"

"Sounds good to me, it is your place after all," I said and basically etched it in my mind so when the movers came I could tell them where everything went. The rest of the day pretty much went by and now I was kinda tired. Dawn was getting cranky, but hey, at least Wes had water. The rooms were pretty much painted except for the upstairs but we could fix that tomorrow when I came over.

"Buffy, I wanna go home, I have homework you know," Dawn whined and pouted. "I can't do my homework with candles, I need lights," she said and gave both Wes and I a look.

"She's kinda right, I can't keep her here because really? She'll whine all night," I told Wes. "Besides, we haven't eaten and ... maybe if you want to come over we can order something and then hey, I can take a shower which will be of the good," I told him and gave him a small teasing look.

"That is so gross. I'll be outside," Dawn said and grabbed her things before walking out the door.

The day moved fast after that. And even though Dawn kept giving me tips and advice, to which I just smiled and nodded, I quite enjoyed it. Dawn and I got along marvellously, despite the…err…woeing lessons. And even Buffy and Dawn hardly fought about the placement of the furniture or anything of the likes. Well, besides the obvious.

By the end of the day, or rather into the evening I was sitting on my new sofa in the lobby of my new office quite tired. I was going to be fast asleep the moment my head his my impromptu pillow and sleeping bag.

“Well why don’t you go take your sister home,” I told Buffy, giving Dawn’s retreating back an amused look. “I’ll go and finish cleaning up here so we can finally kick back and relax by the time you come back.” It took me some time, but I finally managed to push myself up from the sofa with a groan.
