It had taken him a lot longer to manage it than he'd hoped, but Aziraphale finally found the opportunity to send out the letters he'd promised before leaving Fandom.

Once Aziraphale had sent off his letters, he sat down and summoned up a cell phone. It didn't matter that there wasn't any service here -- the angel had never bothered with details like that before. He didn't even take the time to dial an actual number, just hit the SEND button and waited for it to connect.

Wilson was just getting back from class and a trip to the post office to pick up his bills.

The mundanity of life.

Without really paying attention, he pulled out his cell phone and flipped it open.

"Dr. Wilson."

"James love," Aziraphale said softly, feeling an unexpected sense of relief at hearing his mate's voice. "I'm sorry it's taken me so long to call."

Pausing in midstep, Wilson blinked and then looked up at the sky, smiling softly.

"Hey there, lover mine." He said softly. "How are you doing?"

Dear Mr. Phale,

How nice it was to hear from you! I cannot tell you how much I miss you and wish you were here.

I am staying busy with classes and cheerleading, and I still work at the post office. But it's all good and I am happy and yes, safe.

Hearing you are happy makes my day! Take care of yourself and I know I will see you again someday. I think of you daily and each and everytime I wear my snowflake necklace.

Hi Mr. Phale,

It's great to hear from you! I'm actually with Phoebe and Bel right now. We're good, and things are going pretty well. It's been interesting lately. The other week people changed into other people again, but not me this time. And a couple of weeks ago a bunch of the guys ended up with PMS. So yeah, business as usual around here, I guess.

I'm looking after Bel and Phoebe for you, and I'll try to check in on Dr. Wilson more, too.

Take care of yourself. I'm trying to take care of me, too.

Hello, Mr Phale!

It was wonderful to hear from you. Things have been going well here, or as well as can be expected at Fandom, I suppose. I'm mostly on pins and needles waiting to hear from my first choice college.

I'm in Dr. Wilson's class so I see him every week and I think he's doing fairly well. I brought him brownies at the clinic and probably should do that again soon.

I hope all is going well with you and I hope that someday I will see you again.
