I have a question - have you exhausted all possibilities of a job - maybe even ones you may not want? I had to leave France for 3 months to head back to the US for visa restrictions several years ago. A former friend of mine and her husband offered for me to stay with them for 3 months in Colorado. While I was there, I had to get a job because I simply needed money. I knew I was not going to be able to find a dream job (and sure, in my situation it was really temporary) but I got a job as a cashier in a supermarket. It is not a wonderful gig but it could be an intermediate job while you are still looking for something. At least you will have some money coming in....just a thought.

Alas, yes. I'm afraid the jobs we generally wouldn't want don't take us seriously (because we work a couple of notches above) and they don't call back either. Much easier to get teenagers, I guess. Oi.
