I bet you sitting around in your pj's watching Star Trek wasn't nearly as much fun as going out and doing what we did.

Shooting them from balconies is also fun.

For best results however, you have to leave the city, find a dark road and a car with no daytime running lights (or just pull the fuse) and drive shooting roman candles from the sunroof and windows and watching them skip down the road.
