I figure I'd also put in my list of top 20 films for the year 2009... The rankings obviously are approximate. If I were to re-order these films tomorrow, it quite probably would be different.

There are flowers in my room , And they don't need a job - They just need time, To grow and die..
I like the new Kenzo Flower campaign in the cinemas - there is cool music and red poppies fall from the sky over parisian roof-tops. Kids pop out from behind chimney pots and start playing to the tune..
This is a definite improvement over the shamelessly colonial Kenzo Amour ad where a european couple are lolling about in some sort of exotic ( Read more... ) -
Lessons that cannot be learned
I had my dissertation presentation yesterday which went rather well. This was a bit unexpected because one of the people on the jury was a notorious knit-picker and we all expected him to be difficult and complain.

What now ?
I finally finished my Masters dissertation and sent it in. It's not my best work, but that's how it turned out, and now it's looking forward from here on.. -

On Facebook someone has set up a profile under Claude Lévi-Strauss's name.
I was about to "poke" it, but I didn't.
It strangely saddened me to see this profile. I wish they'd remove it. -
Dissertation
My master's dissertation is due next monday and I've still not finished it !
The past week i've not done anything - no films, no going out, nothing, because I needed to get this done. But
I just spent a lot of time sitting in front of my computer day-dreaming, surfing the Internet, and re-phrasing the bits that I had already written. -

Coming back to Paris almost always goes hand in hand with going to the cinema. It's relative absence elsewhere makes me crave for it. The films that I did see on coming back since Wednesday were :
