yes, I wholeheartedly agree. there are certain aspects of the code that just don't seem universally applicable, but the overall tone of it and what to do when faced with ridiculously inappropriate commenting on your own journal, those are the things I'm most interested in applying. also, I'm not totally feeling the "we will cooperate with law enforcement to protect the target of the threat". not only is that not my style at all, but what if law enforcement is the source of the inappropriate comments? still, pretty good for a first draft. it also allows for a blog's refusal to adopt the code, to which the commenter would have previous warning that any and all manner of commenting is tolerated by way of the advertisement below, a kind of participation at your own risk.
