Another trip to the Nexus. There had been so many. In so many worlds, his friends had survived, or returned. This place was alive with their presence, like Genesis' manor was alive. When Genesis was gone, and when he was not required, he would come here, as he was now. Sitting on a Convenient Nexus Couch, he watched the passersby, hoping to ( Read more... )

It's likely rather difficult to notice at first, but as a few seconds pass, the sound of wings (or, if one were to listen closely enough, just a wing) steadily beating at the air becomes audible overhead, and a shadow passes over Sephiroth for a moment as the owner of the wing flies right over him.

There's no need to look up to see who it is, though. His interest is piqued at seeing Sephiroth when he glances down, and Cloud soon lands nearby, wing flaring out as he touches neatly down. His eyes are bright, curious, and he fixes them unflinchingly on Sephiroth, as if silently asking what he's doing there.

Sephiroth gives no answer, deciding instead to state: "I see you have recovered." He nods towards Cloud's formerly shattered wing.

"...Kind of." He reaches absently up, rubs his shoulder, deciding not to mention it still hurts like hell when he flies on it. At least he isn't damaging it any more, though.

That gets his attention. "...And your name?" He murmurs.

"Shhhhhh. Try to relax." He does his best to be gentle, but he won't hold back what he feels is needed. He steadily works out the strained muscles in Cloud's wing.

Eventually, enough of the strain works out that Cloud can find his voice again, and by then, he's whimpering with his eyes shut tight and tears beading in his eyelashes. He doesn't tell Sephiroth to stop, though, because no matter how painful, it is helping.

Sephiroth tries to ignore the whimpers, unsettled by them. Instead, he focuses on his task.

The whimpers settle soon enough, anyway, and Cloud is just left gasping and slouched, looking for all the world like he's just been through an experience that was highly pleasurable instead of pained...though of course the tears tell otherwise.

This time, he does wince, despite all efforts not to. "I have healing materia," he offers. "I could give you a curaga and an esuna."

"It will do no good." For the first time, he sounds almost lost.

Concerned, his brow furrows. "Why not?"

"I suppose it would be easier to...simply show you." He doesn't look, but holds out a hand for one of the materia.
