i hope that fat ass helps out more than writing some angry jaded letter. No, actually it's not bush's fault that 30% of New Orleans lived in poverty. It's also not his fault that they mostly happen to be black. . . THere are many other races of people involved in this. It's more local & state goverment that should have arranged something else for their people.

Maybe we can send in some more helicopters and have them shot at by the people they were trying to rescue!

matt, considering you and i both stand as middle class citizens of this nation i would hope that you would realize that it is somewhat bush's fault that 30% of the population of New Orleans was impoverished. the middle to lower classes are bearing the back of supporting this country while the well-to-do such as mr. gw are given tax break after tax break. its a sad realization, and i'm sorry if you cannot see it.

MOST of those people did not become poor & impoverished overnight. Sadly, they've probably struggled for most of their lives, not just the last 10 years. When Carter, Reagan, Bush Sr and Clinton were in office, I'm sure many of those people were poor. State & local governement play just as big (if not bigger) of a role in the economics of its people. I can't blame the federal government for closing local libraries, laying off county workers, nor for the fact that most of the federal aid NYS is given goes right to NY City and not our city ( ... )
