Today, I found out that one of my sister's friends decided it was a good idea to completely destroy somebody's life over a Facebook status.

Someone really needs to get herself out of the Moo mode and get a grip on reality. It might be a cheeky joke but get her fired because of that? Talk about overkill! What happened to defriending after telling the one posting it that you found it offensive?

I've defriended people on FB because all they could talk about was their kids. It gets very grating and I find it very uninteresting what it has been up to. It did take some time before defriending though as I gave them a chance by ignoring the posts.

I hope she doesn't lose her job but then as someone else said she has a good case of unfairly dismissal on her hands.

i have warned friends at work to be careful what they post because you never who reads it. shame she lost her job over a joke.

Funny, but I feel really bad for Sophie. She is sentenced to live inside her own head for the rest of her life. And inside her head is obviously a very nasty, icky place to be. I also feel bad for Sophie's baby, who has lost big time on the Mommy lottery. I mean, look who the baby is stuck with. Sheeeesh.
