F*ck that. Somebody else being ignorant, rude, and disrespectful shouldn't make you feel submissive, glad you feel strong enough in your position not to put up with that crap and to call him out on it. Let him live his life hating America, it won't help him get anywhere in the world.
So... how about some fun adventure stories now? =)

Go Sara! That was a really well-thought-out post. Although I agree with him that our leader is an idiot and that the war in Iraq never should have began, he sounds like a terrible hypocrite. He's successful because he goes along with "American" globalization. I don't agree with everything that my country does, but I doubt that this guy would be willing to take personal responsibility for the Holocaust.

Hope you're having fun in NZ, Sara!

Pffft. I've gotten the same over here a couple of times, especially in my Criminology class discussions when the death penalty and gun control come up.
1. The US is just bigger. Things will work differently in a country larger than a teacup.
2. India's westernization is absolutely necessary for the country not to drown in overpollution and unwanted children. I pray for the day they remove the stupid 11 pm curfew in Bangalore clubs because "no one should be out so late."
3. You should get credit for actually traveling and attempting to live in a completely different country to increase your understanding of the world.

One funny thing: Some Brit boys, whatever their attitude towards Americans during the day, are absolutely thrilled to find them in clubs at night because everyone knows those U.S. chicks are all sluts.
