Waiting for the doctor...

It's today they announce the new Doctor Who, right?

I very badly want it to be Paterson Joseph. I know he was the early favourite, which would normally mean he was a red herring, but I've liked his cheekiness for a long time. He would fit. He was great in Survivors too. Please.
I don't want James Nesbitt (who's the other name bandied about). I just find him a bit annoying. I saw that Jekyll and Hyde thing, which was, erm, interesting.
I need to stay open minded about it though, as I wasn't happy when Christopher Ecclestone left...and at the beginning found it hard to like David Tennant. I've done a 360 since then, though, and I'm gonna miss the guy.
I know people are talking about Billie Piper and other women. Won't happen. They won't have an assistant becoming a Doctor, for a start off...although I suppose with Billie there's a route in there as she swallowed the time vortex that one time. The only other possibility, I guess, would be that Georgia one who played the Doctor's daughter. Again, no chance of a woman doctor...but I suspect she'll be back in some form at some time.
I'm waiting to see....please let it be Paterson.

ETA: Also, I'm going to give Demons a try. ITV are already labelling it 'cult' which seems a bit presumptuous, but we'll see.

Meanwhile, randomly, and for reasons I can't quite fathom, I am finding myself massively amused by Beyonce's 'Single Ladies' video. I'm not much a fan of Beyonce's music, but I'm fairly sure what I'm witnessing here is a case of too much welly. Is she channelling Sean Paul? I can't imagine how long that took to choreograph...
So why can't I stop giggling, especially when they rush around in a circle chasing after each other? So...busy - Go! Go! Go!
