Ok man. The house seemed mostly ok. Surfaces were grimy, but no crap was left behind and no damage was done to the interior or exterior. Those are actually unusual blessings for a landlord, so I guess the renters had some conscience

That's good, then, that things weren't as bad as they could have been! So you don't get any records of that sort of thing as the owners? I'm kinda curious about how that works. If the cops do come, do you have any way of hearing about it/does it mean you're automatically involved somehow if something's going on?

If an accident were to occur on the property (someone falling from the unshovel sidewalk) it would have fallen on us for sure. Otherwise it seems to be more of an issue of the responsible party. Really don't know, truthfully. I'll find out and we hope that it doesn't end up the case.

Our renters decided not to tell us, and at least in one confirmed case outright lie, about what happened over time. Neighbors wanted to call us, but we never left contact info with them.
