I know she's not 'officially' heavy metal/80's rock, but it's a little too close to that sound for my tastes. That said, I did dig her cover of the Mary Tyler Moore show theme.

Oh, I suppose so, but she's so damned fun and pretty in this one, and she can really rip on that guitar. I am no metal fan at all, mind you--I can't stand it, in fact--but I liked this piece and when I hear something I like I'll play it.

Your reaction made me smile a little, though. It reminded me of that "Jerusalem Crickets" moment when Terry didn't want La Llorona to play on the same stage as a speed metal band. There's almost as much sectarianism in rock as there is in Islam.
