yes, people die.
& it's a SAD part of life.
Are we "not allowed" to remember the dead??
I don't think you understand that this was a random act of violence that ended someone's life.
How would you feel if that happened to someone you knew??
Most likely, when they had a birthday, especially the first birthday after their death, you'd remember it & say/do something about it.
