I recently got a comment asking about China seeing as how I posted once when I got into Chengdu and then never updated again. For all anyone knew, I've been locked in some God-forsaken Chinese prison for the past six months, languishing away as Amnesty International wrote thousands of letters on my behalf ( Read more... )

DANA!

I'm finally home. I'll be here until the day after Christmas but I'm seeing my dad from Tuesday night to Friday morning. Want to get together next weekend?

I can't believe I forgot to send you the pictures from Thanksgiving. I don't know if you still use AOL so I'm emailing them to your school account.

I saw that you updated and for a second I was taken aback, it's been far too long. I'm glad that you are satisfying your fans, and also glad that it turns out that you are not in a Chinese prison, but upstairs in a prison of studies.

I can already see that I will be having a lot of free time while down in Miami so I'll probably be posting about pretty much everything that I do.

I'm glad the animals are all getting along well. I hope Mr. Darcy starts up a long distance relationship with Millie. Then they can send pictures to each other and chat on webcams.

P.S. I will also be updating about pretty much everything I do. Like last night, I flexed my Deutsch skills at a Wiener Schnitzel restaurant. Also, do not watch Superbad with anyone over the age of 35, they don't understand the humor.

Amazing photo update Diana! I'm so glad you had an excellent time in China. I salute you for your courage to study in an Eastern country. And communist at that!

It was a fun, fun time. But, this summer I decided not to be as adventuresome and will be hanging out in Europe. I'm not so sure about Paris anymore. Now it's between Dublin and Prague. I don't know which to choose!

How have you been? Other than getting to go to awesome concerts all the time, of course. So jealous! Nobody ever comes to Gainesville.

I've been alright. :) Just chillin' mostly. Trying to figure a thing or two out! But yeah, I'm loving Denver. It rocks my socks off.

I agree with Lauren. I haven't checked my friends page in so long, but seeing an entry from you still took me aback as well. Anyways, I was happy to read it, considering that we never got to talk about your summer in China before I head off ( ... )

We went to the Ming Tombs after we saw the Great Wall. It was pouring and miserable and there was nothing to see. We told our tour director to take it off the program for next year because it was absolutely pointless.

I'm done with visiting China for a while. I wish I could go to the Olympics, though.

Tibet was amazing. I would recommend everyone go before it loses all of its Tibetness. The majority of Lhasa is now Han Chinese. It's only a matter of time before Tibet really is a part of China.

Have a very merry Christmas with your family.
