GAH

This is not cut on purpose, if you are pro-life, just skip this, if you don't want to read ranting about reproductive health issues, skip this. But it is too important to me to tuck behind a cut. None of my major news sources have brought this up without some digging, so clearly it needs to get out there ( Read more... )

pro-choice, ranting

Planned Parenthood?? Join NARAL's list! NARAL is totally cooler! (Full disclosure - I work at NARAL in online communications, though it's my boss who does our mailings and online actions ( ... )

Yeahhhh. I figured I'd hear from you, and I did actually know where you work, and now that you say that I'm sort of surprised that I'm NOT on NARAL's mailing list.. I thought I was, but I"m POSITIVE that they've sent something out on this, and I haven't seen it.. Need to fix that.

ANYWAY, pretty much yeah. The levels to which this frustrates/infuriates me are MANY... I don't even really have the words..

I love the Huffington Post...

Thankfully as the day wears on it appears to be getting more attention, which is good.

Shocking, really. :-/ I don't agree with, but have a LOT more respect for pro-life women, at least they've got a right to an opinion on the matter.

and I too want that t-shirt!!!

We have them in Boys and Girls versions (and both in boys and girls style tees, so everyone's taken care of)! You can get them at NARAL events in DC (or I wonder if I can buy them on the behalf of other people...). We're bound to have another happy hour soon, I'll let you know.

This is where I always feel compelled to point out that the president and his wife have two children. Twins. That's one pregnancy. Now, maybe they have tragic fertility problems of which I'm unaware, or maybe they're exceptionally good at the whole fertility awareness thing, but probability says there was some traditional contraception involved at some point. Maybe it doesn't count if you pay for it yourself?

*shakes head* Yeahhhhh pretty much.

Or it doesn't count if you're wealthy. Nothing else seems to.

LOL, LOVE the icon... and yeah.. thank you... It seems to be gathering steam as the day wears on, though my news sources of choice (NYT, BBC, Reuters and AP) are still not showing it in their headlines, which is annoying.

It's all over the blogosphere, so the silverbacks will only be embarrassed if they wait too long to report. Or so I hope.
