I was thinking something similar on my way into work. I vote party line but it's because on issues that are the most important to me I agree more with the Democrats. And always have.

I'm working on it, but it's hard for me to identify as many since most of these are social decisions, the converse of which I happen to agree with

Many of the points you agree with the GOP platform, I also agree with, but I don't necessarily think they will follow there own platform on them ( ... )

well, yes. . . I agree that the probability of following them is questionable, but I also resent the notes in both party's platform that say "the other side is lying when they say . . ." because to a certain extent, we have to start by taking people at their word to even BEGIN to make an informed decision.

And besides. The points I agree with them on, are largely shared by the Democrats, and the other points make me want to hurl. Personally.
