It all started on a website called Westerboard, a site devoted to Scott Westerfeld's books. I wrote an Uglies fic (Afterwards) and posted it there. Then, Scott made an announcement on his blog about "FanLib" having an Extras fanfic-writing contest, the winner would get all four books autographed by him! I had to enter! XD And the fanfic writing just took off from there. :)

Because tons of other people are doing it and I wanted to try it.
