one day, way back in january of 2004, barely a month after we moved into our new apartment, my roommates and i decided we wanted a cat.

we went to the camden county animal shelter. there, we saw many, many lovely and homeless cats - but one stuck out above the rest.

you were so good to that cat. like i said earlier today, those last 2 years of her life were happy, warm, and safe. it was completely obvious that she loved all of you very much.

It's such a good story. The thing that got me was that you are so right about us not being able to leave her alone. Kat mentioned to me one day that she thought it was funny how we couldn't walk past her, or let her sleep, or sit or do anything because we just had to squeeze her all the time.

And she always squeezed back.
