a rather strange item... a cluster of mussel shells, cast crudely in lead, which we found in our favorite thrift shop in Basel and then had gold-plated with 24 karat gold.

I found the gallery -- it is not far from the Goethe Institut, but I didn't have time to go in before my class. They are open late on Thursday nights, so I think I will go right after school next Thursday.

There's an excellent cafe in the courtyard of Kunstwerke, designed by Dan Graham. The other gallery, Esther Schipper, is nearby on Linienstrasse and a little harder to find, but Kunstwerke is the main show.

HEY! The exhibition looks really awesome! I showed up at the opening super late (as usual) to a courtyard packed to the max. Its nice how much space KW has to offer... and its interesting to see it here in Berlin because i cant help but compare it to the one Halifax 3 years ago? - that was the first show I ever helped uninstall at the gallery. I would have loved to be involved with this show as well if i wasn't so busy,,, dreaming of some night time postering action.
