Yeah, it proves his goodwill. That and he probably needs the extra firepower around, and that hybrid of his doesn't have much in the way of fortification or things like Milan The French God Of Thunder And F*ck You onboard. Still, it's nice enough. Now if only there were a damn garage that hadn't been raided out.

Smythe insists on point, just because she's got the better vision and the better 'take the first shot' vehicle - okay, the sheet metal's not great but it'll stop small arms at least. And if they lose the technical, well, it's dying anyway. The hybrid's easier on range, and it protects the animals too.

...and Bob's got air con anyway, so protect what's valuable.

Hm. He's not a bad shot with that Saiga, wonder how he'd do with a proper rifle. Next time they get a chance to stop...mm, she can burn off a few rounds. Maybe. Might just attract attention they don't want, either.
