The only person I've ever met in my life that's known more about any given religion is my mother, who (I'm not sure that you do know this already) is a minister.
I include in this number many, many pastors, missionaries from various denominations, and religious enthusiasts.
I'm not sure there's a conclusion to draw from this, other than the fact that perhaps my fascination with the make up and practice of religions is not necessarily an abnormality among the (ap)atheist population.
Know the feeling. I quit Spent Casings for the same reason; the sensation that everything I was looking at in the news and in politics was not even wrong was overwhelming.
