Why I use those is because I actually type as if I were speaking and those dots represent the pause I would have in my speaking. I see no reason why they shouldnt be in my typing as well... Consider is poetic license. lolol
ok...I have decided....with careful deliberation...I will continue to use elipses because the dash key is much harder to hit than the "." key....and more importantly....commas would look REALLY silly. Since the number of periods is indicative of the length of pause...It seems more prudent to continue.
For those who will be in great pain over my choice to completely ignor english grammer. My appologies :P
ellipses and similar things

I for one like ellipses. They are far better equipped to handle fragmentary thoughts in any stream-of-consciousness writings such as journals. Ellipses make incomplete sentences completely forgivable, since they are a clear indication that the thoughts of the journaler are...well...incomplete. We can't always have perfectly composed little nuggets of wisdom in our heads. Myself, I tend to get distracted in the middle of a thought by a new one, and then there I go...somewhere else equally interesting...and who cares what how the last sentence was going to end anyway? ...Um, speaking of world domination...do I get to be a cabinet member? -Kazoo Cat humming away happily here.
