the dark moves fast past the window

(He Escapes)

overturned tables. forgotten meals
the order of disorder. the index of
chaos. hunched over, he escapes into repetition
repetition. mental exercises
somersaults (repetition)
to keep the mind alert

pages bled of their words, read into nothingness
black pages
black windows. black walls
black consumes, smothers. an inevitable embrace
a ray of light covered. hidden. an intruder
repelled. overturned tables
dust falls like rain

her voice, muffled and distant
buried beneath a pile of debris
he escapes into repetition
a face from another time, buried in geometric
shapes. darkness
darkness (repetition)
makes a crowd of items
an unflinching stare

the cluttered emptiness. overturned tables
if you lose everything
the four dark
corners towering above. no mirrors
he is unimportant. he must be forgotten
remember
the present. cannot
forget. keep the blade honed
he escapes

huddle in the room's
corner as the room stretches to an
intimidating size
size. he escapes into repetition
geometric shapes (repetition)
if you lose everything
a face from another time
overturned tables. black
pages. black (repetition)
if you lose everything you never need be afraid of loss

dust falls
like rain

(note: this doesn't quite work here, because i'm not sure how to get the (repetition)'s to be further across the page. they're not supposed to be part of the normal poem. and "like rain" on the last line is supposed to start at the same point as falls. if anyone knows how to get it to do this, it would be appreciated.)
