Upon further consideratin I think I will just travel the world for a few years! Sounds like much more fun...

plus sides: the conservatives still have just a minority & the ndp have made more gains. they had only 19 in 2004, then 29 in 2006 and now it looks like around 37.

pretty big loss for those grits (liberals) again though; fucking wompers that they are.

thank god for the minority. I suppose that is a good sort of consolidation...take any sort of win you can when you are up against Satan himself.

yeah....I honestly think it is because so many people under the age of 30 dont vote...we need more young people because conservative is all that our parents and parents parents know.

I had a talk with my dad on it...its pretty disappointing.

thats true but i also think its because we are voting for 2 parties: liberals and ndp. if those votes were combined we would slaughter the conservatives.
so more than 50% of the country that votes IS left but we're voting for different people!!

they wouldn't let me vote this year because my address on my drivers license is still in coquitlam and you have to vote in your regional district, i called up canada elections to see if i could vote at the burnaby one by my work and they said no. wtf!

What? Thats not right....all you have to do is have a piece of mail that has your current address on it...You can go to any polling station as long as you have your current address with you....
I've heard of that happening to a few people already..all young people...maybe thats why young people dont vote (because yes Kels..we ARE still young!)

you can't actually go to any polling station as long as you have your current address on you. you have to go to the right one based on your address.

not to be a jerk, but it makes sense that you can only vote based on where you actually live, because there are actually specific candidates in each electoral district... so you're not just voting for a party.

www.elections.ca has had voter information up for quite a while.

maybe people would have gotten it if they had put the information up on facebook instead.

I fear he'll win just to get assissinated with all the hate speech the conservatives have been stirring up lately. I'm going to Europe next year, I think I may not come back.
