Everyone,
The wedding is currently taking a position of higher priority right now, so I just wanted to let you all know that I will be getting into the Anime Expo 2006 details upon arriving back from the Honeymoon.
I have an updated list of Expo attendees joining the Rollins Brigade this year:
1.) Aaron (Me, of course)
2.) Laura
3.) Dan
4.) Emily
5.) Miller
6.) Joe
7.) Cameron
8.) Joyce
9.) Mouse
10.) ????
I'm down to having only one spot open for the trip. It really wouldn't be a bad thing if 2 more people wanted to join up since I'm sure we're used to squeezing far more people into a hotel room than we should. Again, if any of you are interested in going, let me know. I wanted to thank Joyce for signing up!
Soon we'll have to start discussing what vehicles will be used in transporting us over there. As much as I didn't want to, I will most likely take my truck again to offer up the extra luggage space we'll need for costumes, cloths, food, ect. We'll need more people to volenteer to drive since we've got a bigger group. I figure 2 cars (that can carry 4-5 people) plus my truck for luggage should be able to get us there.
Gas will also be a big issue this year with the ridiculous price increases. I would suggest that we all work together to chip into a pool of money we can split between each vehicle. I may only be able to fit 2 people in my truck, but since I will be transporting our gear, I would hope that I could get help with gas too.
-If all 10 of us donated $20 to the gas fund, that would be $200 we could split between three vehicles.
-If we assume that each fill-up will cost anywhere between $30 - $60, then we should get 4-5 fill-ups with $200.
-Each vehicle will need at least one fill-up along the way. This leaves 1-2 fill-ups remaining.
-Depending on gas milage, we may need to chip in a few extra dollars. I think we'll be safe, though.
-I'm positive that my truck will need to be filled-up twice for the entire trip. That's just from prior experience.
So anyways, everyone please start thinking about vehicles that we can take. We're going to need good, dependable vehicles that don't have any sign of heating/cooling issues. Dan and I can vouch for a bad trip to Expo in a car that was on the verge of exploding. There is an incline you have to climb out of Indio that will kill your car if it isn't running well. If your car isn't up for the challenge, look around. Do you have parents that will lend you a car for the week? Hell, if all else fails, we might be able to rent a car (some places will let you rent under 25) and just drop it off when we get to Expo, then pick up another rental car to get back, again, dropping it off when we get into town.
I'll get back to updating Expo information after Laura and I get back. I hope all of your costuming is going well. If you have any questions, concerns, or comments please feel free to email me at:

Thanks! Talk to you all soon.
