Well, I'm back from my surgery.  It went very well, and now I'm waiting to take my percoset in a couple of hours.  They gave me a pair of darvoset before I left, so I'm holding off for a little bit.  I'm feeling a bit loopy from them, but doing ok.  I'm probably going to take a nap in a little bit, so if I don't respond, that's why.  I should be on ( Read more... )

Hi sweetheart - I'm glad to hear that you are ok after your surgery and recovering. Just a word of warning/advice ...the percocet you are speaking of is much more stronger then the darvocet that they gave you - at least I am fairly sure of it. I am guessing you most likely *need* the powerful meds if they prescribed them to you - but just be aware that they will make you feel a sort of clouded euphoria, spaciness(maybe), and/or tired if you are not used to the effects. I have had to take stuff like this a lot due to bad back problems so if you have any questions or concerns - let me know. *hugs* Feel better!

Thanks for the advice hon. I just wanted to be sure not to go too much on the meds. I took a nap, and Erin is out getting them right now. I'll have some light food and take one when she gets back, and then it will probably be lights out :)

Sunny's right, Darvocet's pretty tame as painkillers go. And my word of advice goes like this: take them only when you REALLY need them, and try tylenol or ibuprofen first. Percoset can be very addictive, and you don't wanna end up like Rush Limbaugh. :P

In fact you're probably better off just mailing the percoset to me for safe keeping.
