Why I hate the president...

I know what I'm getting myself into by writing a political post here, but I felt the need to write something down about why Bush pisses me off so much. It's been something I've been thinking about for a long time but I haven't put it into an entry because of the long debates it might spark

I agree with you in many regards, I hate that we were lied to.
Did you know that not only did they say "such weapons exist" but also said "we know where they are." For knowing where something was, we sure had a hard time finding them.

That said, regarding Bush's intent to go for Iraq. During the Clinton years a bill called something like "Iraqi Liberation something or other" was created, essentially declaring America's commitment to oust Saddam from power. The beginnings of the Iraq war were set rolling before dubya came to power. He did, from day one of his term, focus on Iraq and ousting Saddam. But there is reason for that. I just wish the American public had been told truth rather then lies for going to war and ousting Saddam. I think there were good to go to war, or at least put more pressure on the country, and I'd be much more comfortable if we'd been given the truth, and also if the world had helped (UN wise) rather then just us.

Sad to say, I think you're right on about all of that Bush/WMD/Iraq war.
