Spent most of Maelstrom weekend doped up on painkillers because of gout attack, or suffering from a stomach bug, or both.

So, basically, I didn't get to play.

I did make it home in one piece at least.

In about 12 hours, I will be in Tolmers, trying to put up my tent in the rain. I hope to have net access over the next week, but it depends on phone signal.

I'm going to Maelstrom. Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Front garden finished apart from bark chippings. That was a *lot* of hard work, but I now have a herb garden I can just walk out of the kitchen door, and there it is ( Read more... )

For once, in a good way.

I have a job offer for a software job in Cambridge. More money, permie, pension, and not aerospace. I have verbally handed in my notice with my current place, and am going to do the paperwork tomorrow.

I have five days left of B787 hell, and then I am free of this thrice accursed aeroplane.

The harvesters have been out in force in the local fields.

I haven't been so close to the country for years.

My predictions of Doom on the system have been correlated and justified.

Alas, nobody took me seriously, even though I had more level A experience than anybody else.

This took me to the brink of sanity, and a cost several people their jobs.

I have been vindicated. Why do I now want to cry?
