That is one weird looking fruit. Do you eat the red part, the white part, or both?

think like a pomegranate. you peel crack the hard outside shell (the red part) and you eat the white part. it's soft, and squishy, a texture I can't think of a parallel for. The fruits are about tennis ball sized, and the white part is maybe a bit bigger than a golf ball.

mangosteens are getting big. They've just started allowing them into the US, and they're supposed to be the most delicious fruit in the world.

most delicious- I'm not sure, but right now I can't think of any fruit that for sure is 100% above it.

wegman's in DC had them, so maybe another Wegman's somewhere might also carry them? They're in season now so It would be sometime in the next couple weeks, and then you won't see them again til next year.
