A rotten thing is probably going to happen tomorrow. Instead of the people directly choosing the president, it's going to come down to an ancient system designed to keep the power away from the masses, just in case it ever becomes necessary. Yeah, it also forces candidates to look at relatively small groups of swing voters like hispanics in New Mexico, but you could go precinct by precinct rather than state by state and still allow small cities and swing voters to have a say (i.e., Democratic primaries). But the real problem is that electors aren't legally bound to vote the way the people of their state choose, and as our country spirals farther and farther into a fascist state, that worries me. And... yeah, fascism sucks
