I can't even begin to guess how many times I've imagined myself stuck in the past. Would I be able to "pull a Data" and assemble the equivalent of a subspace transmitter from rudimentary 19th century parts (assuming Mark Twain doesn't pop in to steal my radioactive components)? I was going to relate this to my frequent musings about Benjamin Franklin being stuck in our time, and how he'd be astounded by the ordinary tasks I perform. Though... I think he'd need a poster and/or t-shirt more than I would in that case.

In any event, it makes long drives a lot less boring.
