Bus news!

To start with, I'd just like to say there is NO graceful way to take a bus over speed humps.

Yesterday was my first day carrying and serving (and throwing around) passengers. It's insane! We were just getting used to driving a 12.5 metre long vehicle around suburban streets without taking out poles or jumping the curb around corners and now

I've driven my husband's truck with a 15" trailer attached, and that was horrible. It didn't even have people in it! I think you're very brave (and kind of insane) to be willing to drive something like that with so many people involved. I'd probably end up duct taping them all to their seats so they didn't distract me or something.

Oh god, yesterday this lady wanted her daily concession ticket but was 20c short so I told her to just take a seat and enjoy her free ride, then I pull out from the bus stop and tootle on my way... Look back into the interior mirror and here she is toddling up the aisle to come give me the extra 20c. I could have died - if she falls over and breaks a hip, I'm liable! Duct tape suddenly doesn't seem so silly an idea...

Or from the drunkies who go "oh shit man I can't take this Beam can on the bus can I?" so they skull the entire can then come and breathe on you. It's 7am! Why are you drunk already?!
