Me and my John Watson adoration, more like, cuz this is basically the Joan Watson show with special recurring guest Sherlock Holmes. 8Db

If you want to see a Watson who takes veeeery little of Holmes's crap, offers good insight and balance into his deductions/life, and is generally badass female role model? Then yes, she's perfect.

It takes a little while for it to get to a point where they're good partners, which makes sense but is also slightly frustrating cuz uuugh I just want them to be BFFs nooooowwwww. First 5 episodes aren't great, 6 is when I started really loving everything about it, 7 went straight back to terrible, and after that it's been pretty good! The characters really start holding their own early on, but it takes a while for the crime writing to actually catch up to how amazing the characters are.

ACTUALLY, IF YOU WATCH ELEMENTARY, WATCH THE 1ST AND THEN 6TH EPISODE FIRST and then go in chronological order because it's mostly case-by-case stuff with building character relationships throughout. I just want you to see how much better it gets. :
