(backdated to December 25th) Christmastime with Freddy
Anita may have been the only one who wasn't looking forward to the holidays. It wasn't exactly that she was unhappy, or even that she disliked them in general, but the truth was she was thinking about things that she would have rather left in the past.
As she awoke on Christmas morning though she actually found that she wasn't thinking about the past. Instead, her mind was firmly planted in the future and she was actually looking forward to seeking out Freddy and trying to do some sort of gift exchange. It was weird, though she couldn't have explained why it was weird, other than for the first time since all of that had happened with Andrej she wasn't thinking that all that mess had been her fault. In fact, she wasn't thinking about it at all as she tried to come up with some thing that would be an appropriate gift for Freddy. She was actually happy, hopeful. She decided not to question it to deeply as it might elude her grasp and frankly she was ready to feel free of that. For the first time in a while she felt it was more than possible.
