While Anita had sort of made peace with the fact that her birthday was approaching she was not entirely looking forward to it. The reason wasn't because of her age, or because it reminded her that she was getting older, it was simply that she had never paid much attention to them anyway so why should she change now? Freddy was more than capable of being an ignorant stupid ass. It was a part of having a Y chromosome and completely, in his opinion, expectable. Forget an annervaserary, an obscure holiday that you don't honestly give a crap about, multiple things that could leave a man in the doghouse with just about any woman. Half the time he considered that one of the reasons being with Anita was as awesome as that was. No surprise anniversaries and definitely no holidays. Just about all he had to do was breeze through each day and stay in her good graces.

But even a dumbass knew that forgetting his girlfriend's birthday was the kiss of death.

Which was why when he found her cleaning her guns outside the hut, he was more than glad that he'd avoided anything disasterous.

"Heya." He said grinning as he walked up, hands stuffed lazily into his pockets.

She returned the grin standing as she finished with her guns. "I think it's not too much to ask for this place to give us more ammo." Or at least for her to figure out where more might be.

She shook her head then walked over him kissing him softly. "And what have done so far this morning?" She hadn't seen him since coffee that morning right before her run.

"Oh, man. Ammo." They'd had that talk more than once, and he momentarily considered his own piece, which like nearly everyone's by this point, was more than a little shortchanged in the ammo department. "Maybe the island'll get an idea and give us all some sometime soon." Unlikely, though. The island didn't seem to like giving things people actually needed.

His hands slipped onto her waist during the kiss and he flashed her another smile. "Nothin' much. Just the usual, this place is horrible with all these routines."

"If the Island actually was generous with ammo I might be excited for about two or three minutes then wonder why it was being generous with ammo." She laughed softly because really that was only mostly true, because she'd just be too thankful to have the ammo to care about being worried.

"Now routines can be good things." She grinned. "Morning coffee for one is very nice." And how they usually managed to avoid a crowd she would never know, but she wasn't about to complain. "You just have to make sure they don't get boring."
