Haha, crazy, everyone lives in Boston! I'm actually in Somerville along the redline.
To be honest, i'm looking for anything. I have experience with nannying, baristaing at Starbucks, public relations and community management for a video game company and then design consultation for a video game company. I've been applying to a lot of random stuff but also a lot of like admin assistant jobs. I also was a content writer and editor for a while, but I"m actually not wanting to do that professionally since it was killing me love for writing . . . I don't mind writing and editing for a non-content-creation company, though. I'm also currently a social media marketer for a hotel in Belize, but it's like a super part time job that just pays in timeshare, now in money. :/
Are you in Boston proper? This is so weird. Why did I think everyone I follow was scattered around the world? Apparently we all live in Boston, lol.
Lol, this happens to me all the time. I think everyone is far away and then I find out they're not. Irony is I almost never meet them. Oh well.
I live in Salem but I work in Cambridge on the red line. Have you considered moving to a cheaper place?
And do you happen to have an online resume? Like on Linkedin or something? I can help put the word out if you want though most of my contacts are in the publishing industry.
We've discussed looking for a cheaper place but it's complicated by us having a dog and not really being able to afford to move, either. I know in the long run a move saves money but you have to pay a lot of front. Plus the apartment is just so nice and big . . . But it's definitely something we've talked about.
I'm on Linkedin! http://www.linkedin.com/pub/jessa-brezinski/2a/8a8/314 I'd be totally happy to find a job in the publishing industry if you know anyone who's hiring -- my BFA is actually in Writing, Literature and Publishing. :) I'm grateful for any positions you can think of. Thanks so much!
Ohh ladyy... I hate living at home. Hate it. I want to leave. Don't go home. I also sometimes hate that I went to an expensive school and am now stuck living at home because I can't afford an apartment of my own--but I loved Emerson. And I know it's helping me in my career. So it's hard to tell if expensive school was a bad decision.
But I wouldn't know you! And there would have been no Kasteel Well! And I miss you. And if you do go back to Texas I need to come see you first!
