What was I thinking?

I just submitted a couple things to the Emerson Review. And I realized it is the first time in my entire life I have submitted fiction/nonfiction stuff for publication. I've submitted poetry to things before but I hate my poetry, so it was just a happy surprise that it got selected. With playwrighting, acceptance is based just as much on whether ( Read more... )

I'm quite sure I love you even more now. That did help a LOT. I mean, it's stuff I know in the back omf my mind, but it helped a lot for someone I respect to say it. So thank you. :)

The first line I think I'll apply to everything in life, and not just writing submissions, haha. :p

Yeah, although Joel and I are on executive staff now the pieces we accept are decided by a full staff vote. There's been times where we absolutely love a piece for all the right reasons and the staff just isn't with us. It's frustrating!

But. I know your writing, and I know it's great. So, even though I won't know which ones are yours, you can be sure I won't let them go without a fight. :)

(Also if you are rejected I am the one who has to send the letter... heh.)
