 is it that when I'm studying for my exams - i.e. physiology currently - that I have this massive urge of wanting to study languages? There's something in my brain that's hardwired to ensure that I don't accomplish the current task at hand in hopes of trying a million other things simultaneously ( Read more... )

I had this problem yesterday, I had a ton of Physics homework and my brain was off wanting to draw and doodle (because I haven't drawn in months). It was extremely distracting. :(

I actually think it's some evolutionary mechanism that our brains flip on when we get really stressed. Our brain doesn't LIKE doing something it doesn't want to do so it starts thinking about things that we like?

Hehe, Italian is such a cheerful language. XD; I love it! For some reason I really want to learn German right now. << >>;

I've been getting distracted too easily myself (like right now!). I really need to be working on my essay that I haven't even started on that's due tomorrow... But do you think I wanna? Nope!
