"how about not equating death with stopping?"namithaJanuary 19 2007, 13:54:49 UTC
i don't think death has to be looked at as tragic. and i think the young and the old have a lot to contribute to society and the world. children, though years behind in their wisdom, bring a sense of life, excitement, and trust to adults who, very often, have forgotten their inner child. i think a death of any kind is sad, but no life is more important or valued than the next. to say a child is a "cuddly empty book" seems a bit heartless...and seems that you're missing the point. life, in itself, is precious...and everyone has something to give, even if they are just 2 months old...so often the young ones give the older ones love notwithheld and hope for the future...and i think that definately says something.
also, not everything in somebody's head could be preserved...especially considering that so much of what we think and feel is not able to be expressed in words.

That is very true about not everything existing as a form of language in our heads. Perhaps I've just known too many adults who don't reveal enough of what they think.
