since I'm on the edge of my tax bracket, that could possibly drop me to the next tier down and end up allowing me to TAKE HOME MORE per paycheck... strange, but true.
Does it in fact work that way? I seem to recall hearing that it was more incremental than that in practice - check out this website:
Re: the work stuff, hon, you pursue whatever job gives you the most money/satisfaction/whatever - don't let your boss guilt you into staying and settling for less than you can have. It's nice that they're courting you, but you need to go where the going's good.
Hmm, well, all I know is that when I made a bit less here, I actually took home more, as there was a sudden surge in the amount that was taken out once I was upped. *shrugs* As for work stuff, oh, believe me, I'm hitting every interview I can get! My loyalty is to my family, not my work, that's for damn sure! ;-) Where the going's good is right, my friend!
I would expect nothing less of you. It's about standards, really. ;-) And I am shocked, yes, shocked that I haven't gotten more ribbing from you myself!
