For the first time since the semester started I actually accomplished something over a weekend that was better than just making sure I was ready for Monday. But I also wasted a very nice weekend mostly indoors. Alas

I too am interested in learning a signed language one of these days! More for linguistic interest than any personal connection to any signing community. Though, I'm a bit more interested in studying Japanese Sign Language than American Sign Language, for professional reasons. (I imagine it's not exactly easy to find either instructors or conversational partners for the former around here, though...)
I'll gamely upgrade you to condiments. I've gotten all the way to gravy boat, personally. I think if I can survive this season, next year I can be the platter of smoked salmon.

I have learned a few words in ASL from my friend dchabot04. She in collage, to be a ASL translator. Mostly yes, no, hurt, things I can use if in a melt down, and can't talk.
